The Boardman boys indoor track team sent three athletes to The New Balance National Championship Meet at the historic Armory in Harlem last weekend.

Hadley, who was accompanied to the meet by Boardman boys head track coach John Phillips, ran the ninth-best time in the Emerging Elite Division of the two-mile run with a 9:32.

Emerging Elite is a category reserved primarily for sophomores and juniors who are on pace to be National First or Second Team Athletes by the time the athletes are seniors.

Adu-Poku and Jones competed in the 60 meter run and were accompanied by Boardman sprint coach Rick Sypert. Adu-Poku raced to a career-best 7.41 in the 60 meters Emerging Elite Division. Jones raced in the national prelims.

Today, Hadley will compete at the Ohio Indoor State Championship at the University of Akron in the 3200-meter run.
