Trumbull County commissioners are expected to approve the hiring today of a part-time Liberty Township dispatcher to work part time for the county’s 911 Center.

Thomas Watson, who has worked for Liberty the last two years, will be paid $9.07 per hour working for the county center in Howland.

The commissioners hired Liberty dispatcher Marissa Migliozzi to work for the county 911 center last week.

The county takes over Liberty’s dispatching duties Aug. 1 after a vote by Liberty trustees in April.

Of the four full-time Liberty dispatchers, Migliozzi was the only one interested in working for the county, said Ernest Cook, county 911 director.

Cook is still in discussions with Hubbard and Newton Falls officials regarding the county 911 center taking over dispatching duties for those communities.

The dispatching centers in Warren and Niles are backups to the county 911 center.

The other communities with their own dispatching operations are Girard and Lordstown.
