Secretary sued

YOUNGSTOWN

An insurance company has sued a former church secretary who pleaded guilty to stealing money from a prominent downtown congregation for the $47,542 it paid the church under its employee- dishonesty coverage.

The Cincinnati Insurance Co. sued Lori Ramsey, 38, of Vienna Avenue, Niles, who admitted stealing the money from Trinity United Methodist Church between August 2009 and May 2011. In the criminal case, she was placed on a year’s probation and rehabilitation in April by Judge Lou A. D’Apolito of Mahoning County Common Pleas Court.

The civil lawsuit was filed last week in common pleas court by Atty. Justin A. Dublikar of Akron and assigned to Judge R. Scott Krichbaum.
