Hilltop Elementary School students closed out the school year on a high note — and a high bounce.

The students were treated to a bounce-a-round party and ice cream sundaes during the school’s annual PTO-sponsored Student Appreciation Day held on June 7.

The event was also a reward for all students for selling cookie dough for the PTO’s annual fundraiser. The students were split into groups and had five stations to visit, including four bounce-a-rounds. Each group visited an elephant head which they exited through its trunk, a bouncy slide, a crayon bounce house and an obstacle course slide.

The bounce-a-rounds were set up in the playground area and when the whistle blew, the students moved onto their next station, including the sundae bar provided by Dairy Queen.

The students created their own sundaes and chose from toppings such as chocolate, strawberry, caramel, Oreos and rainbow sprinkles.

Each class had 30 minutes to bounce and play as much as they possibly could and the students took full advantage of their bouncy time.
