Kaitlyn Thomas, 10, daughter of Kristi Summerville, has been chosen as a state finalist in the National American Miss Ohio Pageant, to take place Saturday and Sunday at the Hyatt Regency Hotel in Columbus.
The pageant is for girls ages 10 through 12. The winner will receive a $1,000 cash award, the official crown and banner, a bouquet of roses and air transportation to compete in the national pageant at Disneyland in California.
Kaitlyn’s activities include Girl Scouts, Tech Club and other extracurricular activities. She would like to go to The Rayen School Early college.
She loves learning and has won three academic achievement honors. Kaitlyn says she wants to be a singer or a doctor someday.
