There doesn’t appear to be any relief from the heat in sight for the Mahoning Valley.

The temperature is supposed to be in the mid-90s today, according to the National Weather Service forecast.

The high temperature for the Valley on Monday was 90 degrees, the weather service said.

Today will be the 53rd day this year to have a high temperature of at least 80 degrees, according to weather service statistics. The high temperature for every day in July reached at least 80 degrees, except this past Saturday with a high of 79.

The high temperature for Wednesday is expected to be in the upper 80s with showers and thunderstorms likely.

The high temperature is expected to reach the mid-80s Thursday, Friday and Saturday, and the upper 80s Sunday and Monday. There is no chance of precipitation on any of those days, according to the weather service.

The average high for this time of the year is 82 degrees.

As of Monday, the average temperature for July is 75.1 degrees, 4.5 degrees higher than normal.
