Man wanted for van robbery-kidnapping
PITTSBURGH (AP) — Pittsburgh police are searching for a 28-year-old city may they believe is armed and dangerous and one of the men responsible for kidnapping and robbing a man who was forced to strip in a van before he jumped out and contacted police.
David Walker is charged with conspiracy, robbery, kidnapping and other charges in the incident Thursday afternoon.
Police aren’t identifying the victim but say he was snatched off the street by Walker other men then driven around in a van in which the men discussed killing him and ordered him to strip off his clothes.
Police say the victim escaped by unlocking a door and jumping from the moving van in his underwear. The man did that because he saw officers in a patrol car making a traffic stop and thought they could help him.
