Man arrested in New Middletown for bank robbery parole violations

NEW MIDDLETOWN — New Middletown and Poland Village police arrested Terry Bressler of Poland today for parole violations relating to two 1999 bank robberies in Pennsylvania.

New Middletown police learned of Bressler’s possible Woodland Drive address, which led to another location on Water Street in Poland Village, where Bressler, no age given, was arrested without incident, police said.

Bressler was convicted of bank robbery in York and Lancaster, Pa., and received a 10-year sentence, according to a news release from New Middletown police. He was paroled after serving several years in prison but has not reported for parole for the last three years, police said.

Bressler was taken to Mahoning County jail and eventually will be extradited back to Pennsylvania, police said.
