Canfield swimmers sweep Alliance dual meet

The Canfield High School girls swim team beat Alliance 123-40 during a recent dual meet.

Mallory Allen sparked the victory with wins in the 100-yard free and the 200-yard free. Sarah Heaven added triumphs in the 50-yard free and the 100-yard breaststroke.

Abbey Karlock won the 100-yard backstroke and Briana O’Malley took first in the 100-yard fly. Olivia Williamson placed first in the 200-yard individual medley.

Taylor Rodenbaugh, Audrey Reed, Heaven and Jamie Wellham took first in the 200-yard medley relay. Also placing first in the relay portion was the team of O’Malley, Leslie Davis, Heaven and Allen in the 200-yard free relay. Davis, Karlock, Kerra Loomis and Allen took first in the 400-yard freestyle relay.

The Canfield boys team remained undefeated by beating Alliance 130-34, led Nick Montalto, who won the 50-yard free and the 100-yard breaststroke.

Connor Brady won the 100-yard free and Adam Weiss won the 500-yard free. Michael Dohar took first in the 100-yard fly and Daniel Bogen placed first in the 100-yard backstroke. Michael DiDomenico touched first in the 200-yard free and Connor Brady won the 200-yard individual medley.

Winning the 200-yard medley relay was the quartet of Mike Cardone, Brady, Dohar and Jake Smith. Montalto, Kyle Anderson, Drew Bennett and Brady took first in the 200-yard free relay. Dalvin, Weiss, Dohar and Smith placed first in the 400-yard free relay.
