Jan. 1

Felonious assault: Police charged Thomas Neapolitan, 25, of 1619 West Hampton Drive, with felonious assault, aggravated menacing and drug paraphernalia after his arrest in the 3000 block of Brandomyne Avenue.

Warrant: Police issued a warrant to Hale Burkholder, 32, of 4078 Evaline St. SE, Warren, for failure to appear on a traffic charge and an additional charge, marijuana possession, after his arrest in the 3000 block of Riblett Road.

Auto theft/recovered property: A vehicle was stolen at the Go Go Girls Cabaret, 5455 Clarkins Road, and was later recovered on Riblett Road.

Theft: Two cans of beer were taken by unidentified men at Pilot Oil, 1150 N. Canfield-Niles Road.

Theft: A radar detector and stereo faceplate were taken from an auto parked in the 5000 block of Yorktown Lane.

Jan. 2

Warrant: Jason Hynes Jr. was arrested on a warrant charging aggravated burglary, felonious assault, and improper discharge of a firearm.

Breaking and entering: A vacant home was entered, and copper was cut out of it in the 5000 block of New Road.

Theft: There is a suspect in a theft at Carl’s Towing, 6704 Mahoning Ave.

Telecommunications harassment: There is a suspect in telecommunications harassment at a home in the 4000 block of New Road.

Theft: Patrons walked out on a food bill at Buffalo Wild Wings, 6000 Mahoning Ave.

Recovered property: A wooden box with photos and miscellaneous items was recovered at Mike’s Lounge, 5532 Mahoning Ave.

Theft: An employee stole $447.36 in merchandise by ringing up numerous items and processing them at incorrect prices in two separate transactions at Walmart, 6001 Mahoning Ave.

Jan.3

Fraud: An account was compromised for $59.99 at a home in the 4000 block of Burkey Road.

Theft: Glasses and a garage door opener were taken from an auto in the 100 block of Fair Meadow Drive.

Assault: A suspect is accused of assault at a home in the 1000 block of Eastwind Place.

Burglary: A television and cash were taken from a home in the 30 block of S. Meridian Road.

Theft: A 16-year-old male juvenile is a suspect in theft at Kmart, 4475 Mahoning Ave.

Menacing: Threatening phone calls were made at an apartment in the 1000 block of Compass West.

Jan. 4

Theft: Two Walmart money orders were stolen at the store.

Identity theft: Cable service was opened in the victim’s name at a home in the 2000 block of Vollmer Drive.

Theft: A Walmart gift card was stolen from a home in the 4000 block of Westchester Drive.

Warrant: Erica Goeden, 23, of Econo Lodge, 5431 Seventy-Six Drive, No. 102, was arrested on a warrant charging failure to appear on a traffic charge.

Jan. 5

Criminal damaging: A vehicle was damaged at a home in the 5000 block of Willowcrest Drive.

Telecommunications harassment: Unwanted e-mails were reported at a home in the 4000 block of Woodridge Drive.

Menacing by stalking: A male victim reported receiving unwanted voice mails and being followed at an apartment in the 4000 block of Pembrook Road.

Menacing: Threats were made to an ex-husband at a home in the 4000 block of New Road.

Fraud: Unauthorized charges were made to a victim’s account at a home in the 1000 block of Idaho Road.

Theft: Fuel valued at $40.01, cigarettes valued at $5.65 and a can of soda were stolen from the BP gas station, 3107 S. Canfield-Niles Road.

Jan. 6

Aggravated menacing: A female was threatened by an ex-boyfriend’s girlfriend in the 1000 block of Compass West.

Public indecency: Kenneth Juant, 34, of 704 N. Bon Air Ave., Youngstown, was arrested on charges of public indecency, obstructing official business and aggravated menacing in the 4000 block of Mahoning Avenue.

Fraud: Unauthorized charges were made to an account at a home in the 2000 block of Birchwood Drive.

Jan. 7

Theft: A bank card, credit card and driver’s license were stolen from an unlocked auto at a home in the 6000 block of Pineridge Court.

Criminal damaging: A fender and driver’s door handle were damaged on a vehicle at a home in the 2000 block of Woodgate Street.

Theft: A pair of Oakley sunglasses was stolen from an auto at a home in the 2000 block of Woodgate Street.

Missing person: A 58-year-old woman was reported missing and was found in Independence, Ohio, and admitted to ValleyCare Northside Hospital.

Child endangering: A 2-year-old girl was found wandering around outside in the 1000 block of Compass West. She was returned to her mother.

Theft: A vehicle was entered and a GPS and flashlight were stolen at a home in the 1000 block of Woodgate Street.

Burglary: A laptop and flatscreen television were stolen, and a door frame was damaged at a home in the 3000 block of Monaca Avenue.

Domestic violence: A 16-year-old girl was arrested on a domestic violence charge and taken to the county juvenile justice center.

Aggravated menacing: Voice messages were left at an apartment in the 4000 block of Pembrook Road.

Auto theft: A vehicle was taken by a brother and then returned at a home in the 1000 block of Forest Hill Drive.

Jan. 8

Felonious assault: Tyler Chambers, 20, of 348 Shenango Blvd., Farrell, Pa., was issued a summons for obstructing official business at Club Privilege, 1743 S. Raccoon Road. A male victim had been struck in the face with a beer bottle.

Assault: A woman was assaulted by her boyfriend and transported to St. Elizabeth Health Center, Boardman.

Resisting arrest: Alexander Otero, 28, of 40 N. Roanoke Ave., was arrested on charges of resisting arrest, disorderly conduct and criminal trespassing at Denny’s, 4927 Mahoning Ave.

Criminal damaging: A truck was “keyed” and lights and mirrors were broken out on the vehicle in the 4000 block of Kirk Road.

Theft: A radar detector and miscellaneous change were taken from an auto in the 200 block of S. Inglewood Avenue.

Recovered property: A purse and its contents were found at Dollar General, 6000 Mahoning Ave.

Burglary: A television, safe and jewelry were stolen from a home in the 4000 block of South Edgehill Avenue.

Burglary: A Wii, DVD player and jewelry were stolen from a home in the 5000 block of Willowcrest Drive.

Aggravated robbery: Male victims were robbed in their car by suspects in a red 1990s Chevrolet pickup at Taco Bell, 4523 Mahoning Ave.

Warrant: Kenneth Cunningham, 20, of 4273 Cadwallader Sonk Road, Cortland, was arrested on a warrant charging criminal damaging.

Jan. 5

Telephone harassment: A Montgomery Lane man reported receiving harassing phone calls from a male who wanted him to go to the nearest Walmart to pick up a Western Union check for $55,000 and to meet someone at the store. Another call by the male said four men were coming to his house to give him the check. Police were asked to be at the man’s house.

Jan. 6

Criminal damaging/endangering: Police arrested a 15-year-old male juvenile for reportedly damaging a home in the 400 block of South Briarcliff Drive. He broke a window and put a hole in the siding.

Menacing: Police arrested a 16-year-old male juvenile for reportedly menacing another male student at the Mahoning County Career & Technical Center, 7300 N. Palmyra Road. The suspect wanted to fight the other student and threatened him verbally and in a message on Facebook.

Jan. 7

Credit card fraud: A Sleepy Hollow man reported someone had charged one of his credit cards for a credit report to get information through Experian. He closed the credit-card account after the card company gave him the name of the person who opened the account.

Theft: A woman reported her purse was taken from her car at the Evergreen Motel, 485 W. Main St.

Jan. 8

Theft: Donald Lupole, 55, of 44 Lisbon St. was arrested on a charge of theft of a quilt and a bedspread at the Scott St. Laundromat, 15 Scott St.

Jan. 9

Warrant: Police arrested David Pryjma, 39, of 180 Village Blvd., on a warrant for four felony theft and theft-related charges out of Union Township.

Drug abuse: Police arrested Richard Aey, 45, of 4725 Rabbit Ridge, Canfield, on charges of drug abuse and possession of drug paraphernalia, after police found 5.7 grams of suspected marijuana and a brass-colored pipe on him at Hilltop Boulevard and North Broad Street.

Jan. 12

Drug paraphernalia: Police arrested a 16-year-old male juvenile on charges of possession of drug paraphernalia at the Mahoning County Career and Technical Center.

Drug abuse/paraphernalia: Police charged Jeremy Petrilla, 21, of 1307 Warner Road, Vienna, with possession of drug paraphernalia, a silver and black pipe with marijuana residue and a red straw with powder residue and drug abuse of marijuana and possession of other drugs after his arrest at the BP Gas Station, 599 E. Main St.

Jan.16

Drug offense: Police issued a summons to Shathomas Hewlett, 19, of 3530 Starwick Drive, Canfield, for drug abuse of marijuana.

Criminal mischief: A vehicle was driven through a yard in the 4000 block of Burkey Road.

Theft: A Ranger CB radio was taken from an auto parked at Super 8 Motel, 5280 Seventy-Six Drive.

Theft: A Cobra CB radio, flashlight and knife were taken from an auto parked at Pilot, 1150 N. Canfield-Niles Road.

Theft: A total of $48.93 in fuel was taken at Country Fair, 1143 N. Niles-Canfield Road.

Theft: A CB power microphone was taken from an auto parked in the in the 5000 block of Seventy-Six Drive.

Theft: A Kelly Tire was stolen from an auto parked at a home in the 4000 block of Pembrook Road.

Domestic violence: Police arrested Kevin Kridler, 36, of 616 N. Four Mile Run Road, on the charge.

Jan. 17

Breaking and entering: A person ran out of a detached garage, but nothing was reported taken in the 60 block of North Kimberly Avenue.

Theft: Kerosene was taken at Sheetz Gas Station, 5499 Mahoning Ave.

Identity theft: Unauthorized use of identity information was reported at a home in the 4000 block of Deer Creek Court.

Drug offense: Police charged a 15-year-old male juvenile with theft of $15.99 in merchandise and possession of drug paraphernalia after his arrest at Kmart, 4475 Mahoning Ave.

Theft: An unlocked auto was robbed of chargers and a GPS bracket and walkie-talkie in the 1000 block of Laurie Drive.

Lost property: A debit card was reported lost at the Wedgewood Plaza, 1743 S. Raccoon Road.

Theft: Merchandise was stolen at Dollar General, 6000 Mahoning Ave. Police charged these people with theft: Bernita Carter, 30, of 209 Carroll St., Youngstown, and Raymond Edwards, 51, of 153 Truesdale Ave., Youngstown.

Burglary: Forced entry was made through the front door and a flat-screen television and DVDs were stolen at an apartment in the 4000 block of Pembrook Road.

Aggravated robbery: A man armed with a handgun robbed the BP Fast Trac gas station, 5502 Mahoning Ave., of an undetermined amount of cash and an undetermined number of cigarettes.

Telecommunications harassment: Police say they have a a suspect in the telecommunications harassment at a home in the 4000 block of Claridge Drive.

Jan. 18

Telecommunications harassment: A person is accused of telecommunications harassment at a home in the 5000 block of Norquest Blvd.

Drug offense: Police found suspected marijuana at Giant Eagle, 5220 Mahoning Ave., after it was dropped by a customer.

Theft: Police charged Cathleen Smail, 51, of 332 Jackson St., Campbell, with the theft of $32.99 in merchandise at Payless Shoe Source, 6000 Mahoning Ave.

Theft: An employee is a suspect in theft at Kmart.

Jan. 19

Theft: A Cobra CB and a fire extinguisher were taken from an auto parked at Super 8 Motel, 5280 Seventy-Six Drive.

Theft: A Conex CB was taken from an auto parked at the Super 8 Motel.

Burglary: Two televisions, Nintendo games and a laptop were taken from an apartment in the 900 block of Compass West.

Theft: An Ohio temporary tag was stolen from an auto parked in the Rite Aid parking lot, 5498 Mahoning Ave.

Theft: A Western Union check was stolen from a home in the 80 block of North Raccoon Road.

Fraud: Unauthorized charges were made to an account at a home in the 2000 block of Vollmer Drive.

Burglary: A total of $200 was stolen from an apartment in the 4000 block of Westchester Drive.

Recovered property: A wallet was recovered at a home in the 1000 block of South Raccoon Road.

Jan. 20

Fraud: Unauthorized charges were made to an account at Home Savings and Loan, 6030 Mahoning Ave.

Breaking and entering: A storage unit was entered and a 2006 Arctic Cat ATV, air compressor and welder were taken from a home in the 5000 block of West Webb Road.

Aggravated menacing: A female reported receiving a threatening text message at a home in the 1000 block of Compass West.

Disorderly conduct: Police charged Adam Bowden, 33, of 4503 Nantucket Drive, with the crime after his arrest at a home in the 1000 block of South Raccoon Road.

Criminal damaging: Scratches to a vehicle were reported at Wal-Mart, 6001 Mahoning Ave.

Jan. 21

Theft: A total of $63.02 in gasoline was stolen from Country Fair, 1143 N. Canfield-Niles Road.

Recovered property: A Garmin GPS was recovered at Mahoning and Edgehill avenues.

Drug offense: Police issued a summons to James Fortner Jr., 18, of 4811 Westchester Drive, No. 201, for possession of suspected marijuana at Mahoning and Edgehill avenues.

Jan. 22

Theft: A purse contents was taken at Club Privilege, 1743 S. Raccoon Road.

Disorderly conduct: Police issued a summons to Nikki Fowler, 26, of 982 Dana St., NE, Warren, on the charge after her arrest at Club Privilege.

Disorderly conduct: Police issues summonses to Stephanie Ellsworth, 25, of 2952 Eddie St., Youngstown, and Rocky Angiuli, 29, of 9610 Canfield-Columbiana Road, on the charge after their arrest at Wedgewood Plaza, 1749 S. Raccoon Road.

Theft: A truck was entered and an Ohio license and a flashlight were taken at a home in the 3000 block of Cannon Road.

Theft: Police issued a summons to Kourtney Stoddard, 18, of 221 Santa Fe Trail, Apt. 3, on a charge of theft. Police said she took $29.12 in merchandise from Wal-Mart.

Fraud: Unauthorized purchases were made on a bank card at a home in the 4000 block of Aspen Drive.

Breaking and entering: A Lincoln welder was stolen from a home in the 6000 block of Mahoning Avenue.
