YOUNGSTOWN

Mad About the Arts, a benefit for The John J. McDonough Museum of Art and Youngstown State University SMARTS, will begin with a Friends of the Arts Preview Reception at 6:30 p.m. Feb. 24 at the McDonough Museum. The main event will take place from 7:30 to 10:30 p.m.

During the reception, hors d’oeuvres from area restaurants will again be a feature. Premier spirits and appetizers will be served.

For the preview reception only will be Lemontinis from The Lemon Grove Cafe, and Alexis Antes will entertain with sultry ballads.

The main event will feature the Second Avenue project, which will provide classic selections of rhythm and blues, swing, jazz and Top 40 for dancing.

The Biennial Faculty Exhibition will be on display. The show will feature works in a variety of media by studio art faculty from the department of art at YSU.
