Cortland woman convicted of eighth DUI offense

Cherilynn M. Waldron, 37, of East Main Street, Cortland, was convicted last week for her eighth charge of operating a motor vehicle while under the influence of alcohol or drugs.

A jury in Trumbull County Common Pleas Court found her guilty of the charge following a trial before Judge Andrew Logan. She will be sentenced later.

Waldron’s indictment says she was previously convicted of OMVI in 1994 (two times), 1995, 1997, 1999, 2004 and 2009.

She was charged the eighth time by the Ohio Stae Highway Patrol Feb. 24, 2011, in Bazetta Township.

She could be ordered to forfeit the 1995 BMW she was driving at the time of the most recent offense, her indictment says.
