Dedication, revival

Sword of the Lord Global Ministries, 907 Catalina Ave., will conduct a dedication of its recently purchased building during a service at 4 p.m. Sunday.

Featured speaker will be Dr. Michael Pangio, head of Abundant Ministries Fellowship of Churches and Ministries, the network to which Sword of the Lord belongs.

The Praise Team of Fountain of Grace Church with Pastor Angel Lopez will lead the worship/music.

Revival services will be at 6 p.m. Monday through Friday with the theme “A Week of Awakening.” Speakers from local churches will address issues in government, education, media, arts and entertainment, religion, family and business.

John Terry Allen is senior pastor of Sword of the Lord, which he co-founded in 2006 with his wife, Pixie.

Winter musical

The Ambassadors for Christ will present a winter musical, “Let Heaven and Nature Sing,” at 6 tonight at Mount Zion Baptist Church, 827 Wilson Ave.

Participants are Ambassadors for Christ, Mount Zion Baptist Church, St. James Church of God in Christ, St. John African Methodist Episcopal Church, St. Stephen of Hungary Catholic Church, Mount Sinai Baptist Church and We Walk By Faith Holiness Church.

Concert at church

austintown

Austintown Baptist Church, 1180 S. Raccoon Road, will present Terry and Diane McCabe in concert at 7 p.m. Sunday. An offering will be taken.

The McCabes, who had lived in Arizona, returned to Youngstown in 2011. They signed with Tate Music Group from Oklahoma, which has joined with the McCabes’ record label, “Sky Pilgrim Records.”

Refreshments will be offered after the concert.

Ministry chapter

Prophetess Debra Ingram, a member of Destiny International Ministries and Youngstown native, will speak when Youngstown Chapter of Igniting New Life Ministries International, an interdenominational ministry, meets Jan. 16 in Georgeanna Parker Activity Center in Boardman Park.

Fellowship will begin at 6 p.m., with the ministry at 6:30.

Maria Spencer will lead praise and worship.

Workshop planned

Greater Friendship Baptist Church, 646 Lakewood Ave., will sponsor a workshop for deacons and deaconesses from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Jan. 21. Registration will start at 9:30.

Registration fee of $10 is due Monday and includes a light breakfast and lunch.

Speakers will be Pastor Michael H. Harrison Sr. of Union Baptist Church and Evelyn Burton of Pilgrim Baptist Church.

Winter program

Central Christian Church, 2051 E. Market St., will start its Winter Mid-Week program Thursday, and it will continue for 12 weeks.

Dinner starts at 5:45 p.m., and a free-will offering is taken to cover the cost. From 6:30 to 7:30, three free classes will be a Bible study on minor prophets, a book discussion on “Conversations with God” and a computer class on Internet use.

Reservations are not required but suggested because of food choices.
