Mr and Mrs. Peter Gabriel
BOARDMAN
The Boardman home of Peter and Sandy Gabriel was the setting for a family dinner Nov. 25 to honor the couple on the occasion of their 50th wedding anniversary.
Hosting the event were the couple’s children and their spouses, Wynne (Steve) Coleman of Albuquerque, N.M.; Dave (Missy) Gabriel of Poland; and Lori (Mike) McGlone of Boardman. The family is completed with five grandchildren.
Mrs. Gabriel, the former Sandra L. McCormick, and Mr. Gabriel were married in 1961 at St. Paul United Church of Christ in West Mifflin, Pa.
Mrs. Gabriel is employed in food services for Boardman Local School District. She was employed in retail sales for 12 years at Gantos until 2000.
Mr. Gabriel retired in 2005 as a morning radio personality and operations manager at Clear Channel Radio in Youngstown. He is a member and current president of Boardman Optimists, and he serves as lieutenant governor for the Ohio Optimist Club.
Mr. Gabriel served in the U.S. Air Force from 1955 to 1958 as a member of the military police and Armed Forces Radio.
The couple are members of Evangel Baptist Church in Boardman.
