Classes for kids at Jewish center

YOUNGSTOWN

The Jewish Community Center, 505 Gypsy Lane, is offering two classes for kids: Bricks 4 Kids Lego program and Scrapbooking with Sarah.

Bricks 4 Kids sessions, designed and created by teachers, architects and engineering professionals, will run from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. every Tuesday in January and March, beginning Jan. 8. The class is designed for children in kindergarten through fifth grade.

Themes include transportation, space, inventions, machines, robotics and more.

Cost is $40 for members and $50 for nonmembers.

Youth Scrapbooking class is offered to grades kindergarten through eight from 5 to 6:30 p.m. Jan. 14 at the center.

Cost is $20 for members and $30 for nonmembers.

Adoption, fostering classes in Warren

WARREN

Northeast Ohio Adoption Services will host informative sessions for Ohio couples or singles over age 21 interested in fostering or adopting school-aged children and teens.

NOAS is a private, nonprofit agency for Ohio families within 90 minutes of offices in Warren or Chagrin Falls.

The classes will run from Jan. 25 through Feb. 10 at the NOAS office, 5000 E. Market St., Suite 26. Make-up sessions are available.

Participants will learn about useful skills, commitment and strategies for children who need a caring family.
