ASSOCIATIONS

NARFE Chapter 14 will have a Christmas luncheon and meeting at 1 p.m. Wednesday at the Saxon Club, 710 S. Meridian Road, Austintown. Sandy Gartner, president of the NARFE Ohio Federation, will be the guest speaker. Active and retired federal employees are welcome to attend. For information call 330-953-0077.

Tri-Gold Chapter of the American Business Women’s Association will meet Wednesday at Rachel’s, Westchester Drive, Austintown. There will be a social at 5:30 p.m. and dinner at 6. Discussion will be Christmas memories. Dinner will cost $21 for chicken and greens, $20 for alfredo pasta, and $21 for chicken francaise. Members will take Christmas cookies for dessert. Yo-Mah-O Chapter of the International Association of Administrative Professionals will meet Tuesday at Holiday Inn, Boardman. Networking will take place at 5:30 p.m. with dinner at 6. Students from the YSU Dana School of Music will provide entertainment. A business meeting will conclude the event. All administrative professionals are welcome. ATHLETIC GROUPS

Girard Golden Eagles will meet at 2 p.m. Sunday at Girard Free Library, 105 E. Prospect St.

McDonald Midget Football Association will meet at 6 p.m. Sunday in the Community Room at the post office building.

AUXILIARIES

St. Anthony’s Auxiliary of Struthers will host a Christmas luncheon at 11:30 p.m. Dec. 20 at Johnny’s Restaurant, Market St., Boardman. Telephone committee members will call for reservations.

St. Elizabeth Health Center Auxiliary will meet at noon Monday in the dining room of St. Elizabeth Health Center, Belmont Avenue. A Christmas luncheon will follow the business meeting.

Sulmona Valley Auxiliary will meet for a Christmas party at 6 p.m. Wednesday at Cafe Capri, Market Street, Boardman. Ellen Hall will chair the event.

CLASSES

Woodrow Wilson High School January and June Classes of 1947 will meet for breakfast at 9:30 a.m. Wednesday at Denny’s restaurant in Boardman. Members of the 1946 and 1948 classes are welcome.

CLUBS

Mahoning Valley Stamp Club will meet at 7 p.m. Thursday at Highway Tabernacle, 3000 S. Raccoon Road, Austintown. Pizza will be served. The club meets the second Thursday of each month.

Newcomer’s Club of Canfield will host a December meeting, holiday dinner and gift exchange at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday at Barney’s Deli, 132 S. Broad St., Canfield. Cost is $20 in advance and $25 at the door. Members should take a $10 gift exchange item. Make reservations by calling 330-702-1673. Meetings are open to all women of the Mahoning Valley.

Poland Women’s Club will meet Tuesday at Michael Alberini’s, 1140 Boardman-Poland Road, Boardman. The social will begin at 11:30 a.m. with lunch at noon. Cost is $22.50 per person, and a cash bar will be available. Guests are welcome. Members are asked to take a $15 wrapped gift for the gift exchange.

Youngstown Chapter of International Torch Clubs will welcome speaker Dr. Lowell J. Satre, YSU professor emeritus of history, to discuss “Anti-Intellectualism: A Personal View” at 6 p.m. Dec. 17 in the Bresnahan Rooms 1 & 2 in Kilcawley Center at Youngstown State University. Youngstown Mothers of Twins Club will have its annual Christmas party Wednesday at the Royal Gardens Restaurant, Girard, beginning at 6 p.m. Tonya Carpenter and Melissa Crowe are in charge. FRIENDS OF THE LIBRARY

Friends of the Boardman Library will have its annual Christmas luncheon at 11:30 a.m. Monday at A La Cart Catering, 429 Lisbon St, Canfield. Entertainment will be provided by the Paul Rossi Trio. Donations of books, magazines, CDs and DVDs are accepted at the library from 10 a.m. to noon the first and third Saturday of each month. Donations are needed. All proceeds help to support the reading programs.

GUILDS

McDonald Literary Guild will meet at 8 p.m. Thursday at Woodland Park United Methodist Church.

RELIGIOUS GROUPS

McDonald Lions Club will meet at 10 a.m. Saturday on the second floor of the Retirement Center, 550 Ohio Ave.

SINGLES

D.A.R.E. Singles Group meets at 7:30 p.m. each Thursday at Disciples Christian Church, 565 Boardman-Canfield Road. Other activities scheduled are: Tuesday, dance classes, 7 p.m. at Judy Conti’s, Austintown; Wednesday, volunteer, 5 to 7 p.m. at Second Harvest Food Bank; Thursday, speaker night at church; Friday, meet at Dutch Haus restaurant, 6 p.m., visit Christmas light display in Columbiana.

SUPPORT GROUPS

F.O.C.U.S., a breast-cancer support group, will meet at 6 p.m. Wednesday at Davidson’s Restaurant in Cornersburg.

Nar-Anon, a 12-step program for relatives and friends who have been adversely affected by a loved one’s addiction to drugs, meets at 7 p.m. every Friday at the Neil Kennedy Recovery Clinic, 160 Clifton NE, Howland. Newcomers are welcome at 6:45 p.m. For information call 330-856-3822.

Salem-Lisbon La Leche League, a breast-feeding support group, will meet at 7 p.m. Tuesday at New Lisbon Presbyterian Church, 11 E. UPMC Horizon Farrell, Greenville and Hermitage, Pa., will offer the following support group meetings: Diabetes at 6 p.m. Monday at the Greenville campus and 1:30 p.m. Tuesday at the Shenango campus; and cancer at 1 p.m. Tuesday at Greenville and 7 p.m. Wednesday at the Womancare Center of UPMC Horizon, 875 N. Hermitage Road, Hermitage.

Youngstown PFLAG will meet from 6:30 to 8:30 Tuesday at St. John’s Episcopal Church, 323 Wick Ave., for a holiday potluck dinner and finger foods. Use the entrance to the parish house at the back of the church. Meetings are confidential and open to anyone needing support or having questions concerning GLBT issues.

VETERANS

VFW Ladies Auxiliary will host a Christmas party and meeting at 5 p.m. Monday at the post home, 157 Lowellville Road, Struthers. Members are asked to take a salad, casserole or dessert to share. For information call 330-755-2701.
