CLASSES

Chaney High School Class of January and June 1942 alumni will meet at 10:30 a.m. Monday at Denny’s in Austintown. Classmates and friends are welcome.

Mahoning Valley Cribbage Club will meet at noon Aug. 31 at St. James Church, 7640 Glenwood Ave., Boardman. New players are welcome. For information call 330-530-1254.

RELIGIOUS GROUPS

Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church Altar and Rosary Society will meet at 7 p.m. Tuesday at the church for the rosary followed by a meeting in the church hall, 618 Ohio Ave.

SERVICE CLUBS

SINGLES

D.A.R.E. Singles Group, a social group for divorced, widowed and separated people, meets at 7:30 p.m. each Thursday at Disciples Christian Church, 565 Boardman-Canfield Road. The following activities are scheduled: Monday, coffee and chat at Mocha House in Boardman, 7 p.m.; Tuesday, boccie in Boardman Park, 6 p.m.; and Wednesday, short holes golf at Mill Creek Park on McCollum Road, 6 p.m., and music by Easy Street Productions at 7.

International Parents Without Partners Portage County Chapter 600 will have a Back-to-School Days Sock Hop from 7:30 to 11:30 p.m. Sept. 1 at Ritchie Memorial Shelter House, 109 West Ave., Tallmadge. Cost for members is $6 and for nonmembers is $8 each. There also will be a picnic at noon Sept. 3 at the same location. Take a covered dish to share. Members and nonmembers are invited. Grandparents and Other Relatives Raising Children will meet from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Monday at Third Presbyterian Church, 1315 E. Washington St., New Castle, Pa. A light dinner will be served, and a program, “Understanding Kinship Rights,” will be presented by Janice Hassen and Darlene Sansone. Preregistration is requested. Children are welcome.
