Austintown Fitch 4, Boardman 2
BOARDMAN
Meghan Shonce, Kimmy Muccio, Madison Hefner and Krista Martin scored for Fitch (1-0), which out-shot the Spartans 14-6. Lauren Bower and Jayme Ritchie had assists. Alison Green scored for Boardman (0-1), which also scored off an own goal. Jessica Scott made four saves for Fitch while Peyton Bryant had 10 for Boardman.
JVs: Fitch 3-0.
BOYS
Mooney 4, Canfield 2
STRUTHERS
Seniors Alex Green and Byron Abrigg, junior Kealin Dunston, and sophomore Myles Harris scored for Mooney in the opener for both schools. Senior Bylan Seybert and junior Brady Clark had goals for Canfield. The score was 3-2 at halftime.
JVs: Canfield, 3-2.
Heartland Christian 7, Columbiana 1
COLUMBIANA
Senior Sam Flynn tallied three goals and an assist to lead Heartland. Junior Emma Donkin, junior Caleb House and junior Durand Winnale each added a goal and an assist while sophomore Alden Test had an unassisted goal. Zack Goode scored for Columbiana.
