Thomas Altiere Jr. is in Trumbull County jail awaiting a May 8 hearing before a visiting judge for a second reported violation of the terms of his sentencing for using deception to obtain a dangerous drug last year.

Altiere, son of Sheriff Thomas Altiere Sr., was last in Trumbull County Common Pleas Court before visiting judge Richard D. Reinbold Jr. of Stark County March 16 for violating the terms of a sentencing program called Treatment in Lieu of Conviction by using drugs.

But Reinbold warned Altiere, 33, of Royal Troon Drive in Howland, that if he violated the terms of his Treatment in Lieu program again, he’d get roughly 18 months in prison.

At the time, Altiere said he would be going to Glenbeigh of Rock Creek for 30 days of residential drug treatment followed by 12 weeks of outpatient care.

Altiere was booked into the Trumbull County jail Feb. 20, and jail records say he is not eligible for release on bond.
