Campbell police arrest 3 in burglary case

Police arrested three people involved in an early Monday burglary, one of whom is accused of pistol-whipping a victim in the 600 block of Chapel Lane.
Police responded to a burglary in progress after a 16-year-old inside the home called the police while hiding.
Police say when they arrived they saw Derrick Gabriel, 23, of 3854 Murray Ave., flee the home.
Police later arrested Gabriel, who reportedly had a handgun hidden in his waistband; and a juvenile accomplice.
While police were booking them, they were again called to the Chapel Lane home.
A third person, Keith Love, 24, of 119 Monroe St., had not yet left the home and is accused of attacking a 19-year-old man cleaning the home.
The victim was taken to St. Elizabeth Health Center and is in stable condition.
Love fled but was later arrested at his residence.
He is charged with aggravated burglary, felonious assault, illegal possession of a weapon and carrying concealed weapons.
Gabriel faces aggravated burglary, carrying concealed weapons and illegal possession of a weapon (fugitive).
They are due in Campbell Municipal Court today.
The disposition of the juvenile suspect was not available in the police report.
