WEDNESDAY

Boar’s Head Ladies of St. John’s Episcopal Church, 323 Wick Ave., Youngstown, will serve a baked chicken dinner from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. today at the church. The meal also includes salad, mashed potatoes and gravy, bread and butter, pie and a beverage. Cost is $6.50, and containers will be available for takeout orders. No reservations are necessary. Canfield Christian Church, 123 S. Broad St., will serve a free Lenten breakfast from 6:30 to 9: 30 a.m. today. Freewill offerings will be accepted, and a senior stretch will follow the breakfast. For information call 330-533-2246.

THURSDAY

Western Reserve United Methodist Church, 4580 Canfield Road, Canfield, will have a drive-through chicken dinner from 4 p.m. until sold out. The cost is $7 and includes mashed potatoes and gravy, green beans and a brownie.

FRIDAY

American Legion FDR Post 560, 103 12th St., Campbell, is having a fish/shrimp fry from noon to 6 p.m. The cost is $8 for adults and $5 for children 12 and under. The dinner is dine-in or takeout and includes fish or shrimp, macaroni and cheese or french fries, coleslaw, haluski, dessert and beverage. There will be a 50-50 raffle. American Legion Post 737, 16465 Milton Ave., Lake Milton, will serve the following meals from 3 to 7 p.m.: all-you-can-eat fried fish with french fries or macaroni and cheese, coleslaw, rolls and beverage; chicken with fries, coleslaw, rolls and beverage; or shrimp with fries, coleslaw, rolls and beverage. AMVETS Post 290 Ladies Auxiliary, 290 Youngstown-Kingsville Road, Vienna, will have their annual bake sale from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Proceeds benefit veterans and their families.

Beaver Creek Sportsman Club, 14480 Washingtonville Road, Washingtonville, will have fish and shrimp dinners from 4 to 7 p.m. Meals include french fries, coleslaw and a beverage. The cost is $9 for a fish dinner or $8 for a shrimp dinner. Carryouts are available.

Canfield Lions will sponsor a fish dinner from 4:30 to 7:30 p.m. at A La Cart, 429 Lisbon St., Canfield. Holy Trinity Serbian Orthodox Church, 53 Laird Ave., Youngstown, will serve fish dinners from 3:30 to 7 p.m. at the church hall. The menu will consist of baked or fried Icelandic cod or fried haddock; sides of Spanish rice, haluski, macaroni and cheese, french fries or string beans (choose two); coleslaw or applesauce; bread and butter; and coffee or tea. Immaculate Heart of Mary Church will serve fish dinners from 4 to 7 p.m. at the parish center, 4490 Norquest Blvd., Austintown. The cost is $9.95, and the menu consists of fried or baked fish or fried shrimp, a choice of macaroni and cheese, pirogi or french fries, a vegetable, and coleslaw, bread and butter, dessert and a beverage. St. John Greek Orthodox Church, 4955 Glenwood Ave., Boardman, is having a Seafood Fest from 5 to 8 p.m. Choices are lightly breaded fried haddock, Greek baked fish plaki, seafood pastisio, crab or spinach roll-ups wrapped in phyllo, calamari, smelts and french fries, Greek pastries and breads. St. Maron Church, 1555 S. Meridian Road, Youngstown, will serve fish dinners from 3 to 7 p.m. in Antioch Hall. There will be fried or baked haddock, fried shrimp, breaded fried scallops or fried smelt dinners for $9. Each dinner comes with a choice of one side: macaroni and cheese, majadra, french fries or potato pirogi; coleslaw, bread and butter, dessert and a beverage. Tuna steak dinners are available for $11. A la carte items and takeouts also will be available.

Sts. Peter & Paul Church, 421 Covington St., Youngstown, will serve fish dinners from 4:30 to 7:30 p.m. in the church hall. The cost is $8.50 for adults and $5 for children. The menu consists of baked or fried haddock; a choice of french fries, macaroni and cheese or haluski; coleslaw; vegetable; bread and butter; dessert; and a beverage. Carryouts are available. Tod Avenue United Methodist Church, 155 Tod Ave., Warren, will serve an all-you-can-eat fish dinner from 3:30 to 6:30 p.m. The meal is complete with ocean perch, potatoes, coleslaw, dessert and a beverage. Meatloaf also will be available. The cost is $9 for adults, $3 for children 4 to 11 and free for those 3 and under. Carryouts are available. A Good Friday service will take place at 7:30 p.m.

VFW Triangle Post 2799 Auxiliary, 3161 E. South Range Road, New Springfield, will have a fish fry from 4 to 7 p.m. Cost is $10 for adults and $5 for children 10 and under. Meals include french fries, macaroni and cheese, coleslaw, bread and butter, dessert and a beverage.

TUESDAY

Mahoning United Methodist Church, 2214 Mahoning Ave., will sell stuffed cabbage rolls from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. (or until sold out) for $1.50 each. To order call 330-799-5318 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. through Friday. Walk-ins are welcome, but advance orders are appreciated.

TAKING ORDERS

Sts. Peter and Paul Orthodox Church will be selling homemade strudel. A large apple or cherry strudel will be $8, and a large cherry with cheese is $9. Order by Friday at 330-792-6699 or 330-799-7911. Pick up Saturday from 10 a.m. to noon at the center, 1025 N. Belle Vista Ave. All proceeds will benefit the parish orphanage missionary.

UPCOMING

Fowler United Methodist Church, 3426 Youngstown-Kingsville Road, will sponsor a chicken pie dinner from 3:30 to 6 p.m. April 14. Cost is $8 for adults, $4 for children 6 to 12 and free for preschoolers. Dinners include mashed potatoes, green beans, applesauce, coleslaw, bread, dessert and a beverage. South Range Athletic Boosters will have a Meet the Coaches and Athletes Fish Fry from 4 to 8 p.m. April 13 at Greenford Space Center, 7600 W. South Range Road, Greenford. The cost is $10 for adults and $8 for children. Carryouts are available. There also will be basket auctions and a 50-50 raffle.
