YOUNGSTOWN
The city has signed a new contract for those who take part in its natural-gas program at a reduced rate.
Customers will pay a fixed rate of $5.54 per MCF (a measurement equal to 1,000 cubic feet of gas) between this November and September 2012.
Vectren Source of Evansville, Ind., will continue to provide natural gas for Youngstown customers. Those in Youngstown currently pay a fixed rate of $5.98 per MCF.
Vectren will send letters to those in the city around Oct. 14 explaining rates, terms and conditions of the offer, and how new customers can enroll.
