YSU faculty expresses frustration with lack of movement for new pact

YOUNGSTOWN — The union representing Youngstown State University faculty says it’s frustrated by a lack of progress after hours of meetings between representatives of the administration and faculty and classified unions regarding health-care costs.

“Last week, it looked like we were making progress, and we developed specific proposals based on ideas they had offered,” Stan Guzell, chief negotiator for the faculty union, said. “When we presented those this week, the administration’s representatives changed gears,” he said.
