Staff report
BOARDMAN
Township police and FBI agents are searching for a male suspect in Monday’s bank robbery.
Key Bank, located at Market Street and Meadowbrook Avenue, reported a robbery about 3:25 p.m. A Boardman officer was on the scene less than a minute later, police said.
A man passed a note to a bank teller demanding money and saying he had a gun, officers said.
The bank teller complied, and the man fled on foot, police said. A police dog was unable to pick up a track because of the rain, officers said. It’s not clear how much money was taken, if any.
The man is described as a clean-cut white male in his late 20s or early 30s and wearing a white jacket, white baseball hat and blue jeans, according to reports.
