A city woman was shot in the leg following an altercation with another female.
The victim, 24, of Lauderdale Avenue, told police that she and three other women were at Joker’s Wrath Club at 2600 Market St. at about 4:45 a.m. Sunday when the suspect arrived and began arguing with the group.
The victim said she was sitting in the back of an SUV when she heard a gunshot and then felt a burning sensation in her leg, according to a police report. She was treated for a gunshot wound to the right thigh.
Three women outside the vehicle told police they saw the suspect pull out a handgun and fire in the direction of the SUV.
Youngstown police continue to investigate the assault.
