Fitch Hall of Fame banquet is Sept. 24

The Austintown Fitch High School Athletic Hall of Fame committee is preparing for this year’s Hall of Fame festivities Sept. 24 at Immaculate Heart of Mary’s Banquet Center on Norquest Boulevard in Austintown.

This year’s honorees are Cecil Duffett, 1945 for basketball and track; Don Schnurrenberger (posthumously) 1949 for football and track; James Pontuti, 1959, for football and track; Paul D’Eramo (posthumously) 1964, for football and track; William Jacobson 1966, basketball and baseball; Mike Woloschak 1972, for football and track; Mike Calhoun (posthumously) 1975 football and track; Gary Barber 1982 for football and basketball; Matt Keller 1986 for football and track; and Dana Sulenski Menendez 1995 for basketball and softball.

In addition, the coach selection is Dave Hartman (1982-93) and benefactor is Dr. Donald Dockry. Team selection is the 1975 Fitch cross country team and the 1990 Fitch football team.
