Strauss-Kahn NY townhouse up for rent again

NEW YORK (AP) — The $50,000-a-month Manhattan townhouse that Dominique Strauss-Kahn and his wife rented while he fought sexual assault charges is on the market again.

The former International Monetary Fund leader is back in France after charges were dropped.

But real estate agents are wondering whether his four-month stay at the lavish home will boost or bust its value. The 6,800-square-foot home is also for sale at just under $14 million.

Robert Dvorin, senior vice president of the Manhattan real estate company handling the home, says all press is good press.

He says Strauss-Kahn’s stay drove up interest. But he says that interest has been sustained because “the house is gorgeous.”
