Motorcyclist: Life saved by heroes who lifted car

SALT LAKE CITY, Utah (AP) — A Utah motorcyclist who was pinned under a burning car after a collision says he’s grateful for the help of strangers who lifted the vehicle to rescue him.

Brandon Wright told The Associated Press today that his life was saved by the actions of bystanders.

Authorities say the accident Monday near the Utah State University campus in Logan happened when the 21-year-old Wright collided with a car pulling out from a parking lot.

The bike and car burst into flames and Wright was trapped underneath. A camera nearby captured a group of people tilting the car up to pull Wright to safety. Logan police are heralding the group as heroes.

Wright was taken to the hospital in critical condition. The driver of the BMW had minor injuries.
