Howland girls, Fitch boys stay unbeaten in soccer

HOWLAND

Jenn Boyd and Erika Nites scored goals to help lift the undefeated Howland girls soccer team to a 2-1 win over Green.

The Tigers (4-0-1) took a 1-0 lead at the break on Boyd’s goal which Nites assisted.

Nites scored on a penalty kick.

Green, which got a goal on a free kick by Caitlin Elkins, was out-shot, 10-3.

AUSTINTOWN

Ben Conley and Keanu Shelton scored for the Falcons (6-0, 3-0 All-American Conference Red Tier).

Kyle Kosco had an assist.

The game featured six yellow cards and three red cards.

Salem is 2-2-1, 0-0 AAC White.

STEUBENVILLE

Aly Yajko had seven kills and 10 digs and Laini Roberts had 10 points, nine digs and one kill for Beaver Local (5-1).

Ashley Ricciardi had six kills and Danna Talbot had four points and four kills for the Beavers.
