Struthers Middle School is trying to win a $50,000 grant to add technology to English language arts classrooms, and your vote counts — again and again.

The school is competing with 1,500 others nationwide in the Clorox Co.’s Power A Bright Future grant program.

Beginning now through Dec. 9, anyone over age 13 can visit HYPERLINK httpp://www.PowerABrightFuture.com to vote once a day for the program they believe is most deserving of a grant. You also can vote from your cellphone via text message. Send a text message once per day. Text clorox4039 to 44144. The school recommends texting as the easiest way to vote.

The program that receives the highest number of votes will be awarded the $50,000 grand-prize grant, and each of the next top vote-getters in the Play, Create and Explore categories will be awarded a $25,000 grant. Clorox’s judging panel will select one other school to win a $25,000 judges’ choice grant.

The school wants to use the grant to purchase e-readers, iPads and a wireless Internet connection.
