CANFIELD — Services will he at 11 a,m. Thursday in St. Christine Church in Youngstown for Atty. Vincent E. Gilmartin, 83, of Canfield, who was Mahoning County’s elected prosecutor for 16 years and a leader of the local Irish-American community, who died at 1:36 a.m. today in St. Elizabeth Health Center, Boardman.
Gilmartin received the Mahoning County Bar Association’s professionalism award in 2007 and was inducted two years later into the county’s Democratic Party Hall of Fame.
Friends may call from 4 to 7 p.m. Wednesday at the Higgins-Reardon Funeral Home, Austintown.
