Man acknowledges harassing Palin lawyers

ANCHORAGE, Alaska (AP) — The father of a Pennsylvania man who has already acknowledged making harassing phone calls to Sarah Palin’s lawyers says he also made similar calls.

Craig Christy, of McAdoo, Pa., reached a plea agreement with federal prosecutors this week acknowledging he harassed lawyers for the former Alaska governor and 2008 Republican vice-presidential nominee.

He was prohibited from contacting Palin and certain members of her household under a protective order issued in May.

Under the agreement, Christy avoids jail and agrees to serve five years of probation and meet certain conditions, including not having any contact with people whose names were not disclosed.

His son, Shawn Christy, also of McAdoo, also has agreed to plead guilty to making harassing phone calls. He is to be sentenced Dec. 1.
