President Barack Obama has signed legislation aimed at helping veterans find jobs.
The VOW to Hire Heroes Act of 2011 provides tax credits to companies that hire unemployed veterans and job training to veterans. It includes legislation cosponsored by Sen. Sherrod Brown, D-OH, the Hiring Heroes Act, which helps ease the transition to civilian life for returning men and women in the Armed Forces.
The bill is the first part of the American Jobs Act to be signed into law.
