Police: New Castle man stole pants, broke into 2 homes

NEW CASTLE, Pa. (AP) — Police say a man broke into a home and changed into that resident’s clothes before being caught breaking into another home down the street.

Investigators say 30-year-old Eugene Courson III broke into one Shenango Township home on Monday night. Police say he changed into a pair of the resident’s pants and trashed the house before going down the street.

That’s where authorities say the New Castle man was caught breaking into an occupied home.

Shenango police Officer Vincent Martwinski says Courson left his cell phone behind at the first house, where police say he caused about $30,000 in damage.

Courson is being held on $10,000 bail. It was not clear if he had an attorney.
