Stocks waver on economic growth, debt talks
Stocks wavered in midday trading today as investors balanced signs of future growth in the U.S. economy with a looming deadline for Congress to reach a deal in debt talks. But many investors remained cautious as a key Congressional committee remained deadlocked on ways to cut the U.S. deficit.
