Man's body found at bottom of Pa. quarry

LANGHORNE, Pa. (AP) — Police are investigating the discovery of a body at the bottom of a quarry outside Philadelphia.

The man’s body was found Monday in an old quarry near Neshaminy High School in Langhorne, Bucks County.

Officials have not released the name of the man but tell WCAU-TV he disappeared in that area on Sunday.

Investigators say an autopsy with be necessary to determine a cause of death but his injuries were consistent with a fall.

The quarry is owned by water company Aqua Pennsylvania. Spokeswoman Donna Alston tells The Bucks County Courier Times the body was found near where the quarry was being drained.
