Students in the Interactive Multimedia Program at the Mahoning County Career and Technical Center received several honors at the 12th annual Student Gallery of Superb Printing Awards Banquet, hosted by the Northeast Ohio Craftsmen Club May 20.
In addition to students earning Gold, Silver and Bronze awards at this year’s event, Britney Bodendorfer, a senior from Austintown, received the “Best of Show” awards, one in Printing and one in Creative Category. This is the first time in the history of the club that both best of shows were awarded to the same person.
The judges were impressed with Bodendorfer’s work and met with her after the awards were given out to congratulate her and encourage her to pursue a career in the graphics industry.
Bodendorfer was also awarded Gold in Menu Design and Package Design, Silver in Screen Printing and Production Design and Bronze in Personal Promo.
Haley Hunter and Danielle Walter of Austintown were also honored at the banquet. Hunter received a Gold in Four Color Screen Printing and Package Design, Silver in Magazine Layout and Bronze in Stationary and Poster Design. Walter received Gold in Invitations and a Silver in 3-D Package Design.
