GIRARD
Girard Little Indians Inc. will have its second annual golf outing June 18 at the Mahoning Country Club, 710 E. Liberty St. The four-man scramble has been organized by volunteers, board members and coaching staff as the team’s major fundraiser. Proceeds will be used to supplement equipment as needed and assist in lowering the cost to participants.
The outing will begin with registration at 7 a.m. and a shotgun start at 9.
The cost for the event is $65 per player or $260 per team. The fee includes entry into all events, 18 holes of golf, a riding cart, lunch, dinner and various awards.
The awards presentation and dinner will begin at the conclusion of play.
Golfers are asked to preregister by June 13 with Stacey Rhodes at 330-787-3301 or by email to girardlittleindians@neo.rr.com and include the names of team members, addresses and phone numbers.
The organizers are seeking prize donors and hole sponsors for the outing. Available is a hole sponsorship for $50, or a hole sponsorship and a 1/2-page advertisement in the 2011 program for $100. The advertisement will also be viewed by spectators during the team’s home games. Each sponsor will receive a flag with the company name on the hole they sponsor.
