Youngstown woman attacked by her pitbull

YOUNGSTOWN — A city woman who had been cited in the past for dog issues has been attacked by her own pitbull dog.

According to police reports, Leanna Razo, 30, of South Hazelwood Avenue, was attacked by one of her dogs earlier this week. Police did not detail the injuries to Razo, but did call them extensive.

According to police, officers and the Mahoning County dog warden had to go to Razo’s West Side home Monday to take the dog from the premises.

Officers entered the house with shotguns because of the vicious nature of the dog and found the animal in a partially latched cage but still acting aggressive toward police and the dog warden, according to reports.

The dog was removed from the house without injury or use of force.
