Junior League of Youngstown presents 'Kids in the Kitchen'

YOUNGSTOWN

The Junior League of Youngstown presented “Kids in the Kitchen” to approximately 48 second-graders at Harding Elementary School on Friday morning. The project has been spearheaded by the Junior League’s Provisional Class. Fifteen class members worked on healthy eating, nutrition and exercise. The children participated in six different activities.

A cooking demonstration — presented and sponsored by Danny Catullo/ Catullo’s Meats.

Learning Yoga — presented and sponsored by Loretta A. Pflug.

Each student was presented with a keepsake fabric bag and a 20 oz. sports water bottle at the event.

The Junior League of Youngstown also will participate in the following events:

April 28: New Candidates Tea, The Youngstown Club.

May 7: The Kentucky Derby Fundraiser. Youngstown Country Club. Tickets and sponsorship opportunities are available.
