Woman charged after incident at restaurant

A Youngstown woman is charged with four felonies after causing a disruption inside a local restaurant.

Township police charged Dorina Shine, 42, of Ferndale Avenue in Youngstown on Wednesday with bribery, vandalism and two counts of felonious assault as well as three misdemeanors — obstructing justice, aggravated menacing and drug posession.

She was scheduled for an arraignment Thursday in Mahoning County Area Court Boardman.

Police were called to TGI Fridays just before 7 p.m. Wednesday after patrons reported Shine was inside throwing and breaking bottles, according to a police report.

When officers arrived, Shine was outside the restaurant with two employees. For her safety, she was handcuffed and placed in the back of a cruiser while police asked her questions, police said.

The suspect became combative after officers told her a man inside the restaurant wanted to file charges against her for hitting him in the face with a bottle, the report said.

She was so uncooperative that police bypassed booking her at the Boardman Police Department and took her straight to the Mahoning County jail, the report said.

While en route to the jail, Shine offered the officers money to let her go, according to police. Some of her statements were recorded over the Boardman police radio system.

Sheriff’s deputies searched Shine upon her arrival at the jail and found a bag of marijuana.
