Liberty copper theft causes $60K in damage

A local contractor working for an out-of-town landlord from Boston discovered a theft of copper piping in a building in the 3000 block of Green Acres Drive around 1:30 p.m. Wednesday.

Police said most of the piping had been removed and caused an estimated $60,000 in damage.
