Rotas, Hvisdak, Carlson lead ITCL selections

Emily Carlson amd Taylor Hvisdak of Lowellville highlight the girls Inter Tri-County League Division II basketball all-star team.

Carlson and Hvisdak led the Rockets to a 20-0 regular season and the ITCL championship. They were unanimous selections to the all-league team.

The Lowellville duo were joined on the first team by Colleen Kennehan of Western Reserve, Mikyla Tipton of Wellsville and Clarissa Perkins of Leetonia.

The Div. I first team was Abby Riffee of Mineral Ridge, Ruth Prosko of United, Hayley Goist of Columbiana, Gabrielle Naples of South Range and Ashley Harrison of Crestview.

The boys Div. II first team was led by Wellsville’s Michael Johnston, a unanimous selection.

He was joined by Nick Rota and Justin Rota of McDonald, Anthony Alfano of Lowellville, and Jake Doyle and Eric Baker of Southern.

Heading the Div. I boys team were East Palestine teammates Brett Foreman, Corey Wright and Adam Robb, along with C.J. Collins of Crestview, Andy Lacefield of South Range and Nick Russell of Springfield.
