Mill Creek ABWA honors Pappagallo as Woman of Year

On March 8 the Mill Creek Chapter of ABWA selected its 2011 Woman of the Year: Shirley Pappagallo.

She has been a member of the chapter since 1988 and has held every office. Pappagallo is in charge of all the chapter’s fundraisers: candy sales, selling programs at YSU games, auctions and more.

She has served as treasurer this year. Active in the chapter’s Relay for Life Team, Pappagallo works with Special Olympics participants during their Austintown event in the summer.

She retired from Ohio Bell and is employed by Verizon Wireless as a collector.

She has the opportunity to attend either the Spring Conference in St. Louis or the National Convention in Irvine, Texas.
