Speaker asks: Is America still great?

The Rev. Dr. Hak Joon Lee, associate professor of theology and ethics at New Brunswick Theological Seminary in New Jersey, will be guest speaker for the Schaff Lecture Tuesday at First Presbyterian Church, 201 Wick Ave.

A clergy and lay-leaders seminar is set for 4 p.m., with registration starting at 3:30. The Rev. Dr. Lee’s topic will be “Can Cosmopolitanism be Locally Rooted? The Case of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.”

A public lecture is scheduled at 7 p.m. at the church. Dr. Lee’s topic will be “Is America Still a City on a Hill? E Pluribus Unum and a Global Vision of the U.S.” No reservations are required.
