City police are looking for a man suspected of committing aggravated robbery.

The male victim, 39, of Youngstown, told police he was walking up Carroll Street on the South Side just after 10 p.m. Thursday when he saw a man wandering down the street.

He said he began talking to the man, and the two agreed to walk to an unspecified address to buy marijuana, according to a police report.

The victim said as they were walking he took $8 out of his pocket, and the suspect held up a 40-ounce beer bottle he was drinking from and demanded the cash.

The report said the suspect snatched the money from the victim’s hand and fled on foot south on Hillman Street.

The suspect was described as a black male in his mid-30s, wearing a white dress shirt, black slacks and a gold chain. He had dark hair and a gray beard, according to the report.
