East High ROTC places in event

East High School Army JROTC competed in a drill competition at Canton-Timken High School in Canton.

The drill competition consisted of drill team, color guard, raider challenge, individual knock out and the academic challenge.

East High School finished in second place in the Academic Challenge event, third place in the drill team and color guard events and tied for second place in the raider challenge event.

Cadet Major Lo’ve Workman finished in third place out of more than 100 cadets in the individual knock-out event.

These cadets/students participated in the drill competition: Aiesha Ali, Joshua Morales, William Boylen, Lakisha Chandler, Montel Craft, Jarrell Forester, Blanca Gonzalez, Elliott Graham, Tyler Harvey, Rhonda Johnson, Qui-Anna Pulliam, Jekiel Rodriguez, Erica Rowe, Alejandro Salinas, Albert Schulte, Alvin Sims, Orenzo Walker, John Walsh, Darien Dozier, Lo’ve Workman, Jonathan Borrero, Kalynn Agosto, Joshua Moore, Nazeer Duncan, Aleia Marshall, Lisiyaidilly Flores, Fashion Taylor, Tanisha Lopez and Melina Kline.

The East High School Army JROTC staff, Master Sgt. (Ret.) Douglas Moon and Sgt. First Class (Ret) John Szewczyk, thanked the cadets for their work and dedication to the program.
