BOARDMAN

Hospice of the Valley and the Big Reach Center of Hope have joined forces for a program dubbed Help a Child.

The goal is to make the first day of school a good experience by providing each child with new clothing and supplies.

Those who sign on will receive a packet containing the child’s number, to keep their identity confidential, and the child’s age, shirt size, pants size, underwear size, and shoe and sock size.

You are expected to buy the full outfit.

Participants can shop thrifty, they may include the receipt, one or more can share the buying, and they may have more than one packet if they like.

If your child wears a uniform, you must stick to those colors. Thirty children are participating. Last year’s program was a huge success for the kids.

To receive your packet, call Liz McGarry, director of development/marketing, Hospice of the Valley, at 330-788-1992 or email her at Liz_McGarry@HMIS.org.
