CLASSES

Chaney High School January and June Classes of 1942 will meet at 10:30 a.m. Monday at Denny’s in Austintown. No reservations are needed, and all classmates and friends are welcome.

CLUBS

East Side Friends and Family will gather from 3 to 9 p.m. July 9 for a picnic at the Maronite Center, 1555 S. Meridian Road, Youngstown. A head count is needed by July 1. Call Shelley Walley at 330-549-5444 or 330-924-9046.

Greenford Ruritan Club will have its next monthly meeting at 7 p.m. Monday at Locust Grove Baptist Church. This will be Father-Daughter Night, and all members are urged to attend and take guests.

Warren Women’s Connection will have a “Back to Basics” luncheon from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. July 11 at DiLucia’s Banquet Room, 2610 Elm Road NE, Warren. The cost is $13 per person, and free child care is available. Featured will be Karen Nemergut and music by Caitlin Overton. Guest speaker will be Lisa Harrington. Western Reserve Amateur Radio Club will meet for Amateur Radio Field Day from 2 p.m. Saturday to 2 p.m. Sunday at the WRARC Field Day Site, 8905 state Route 46, half a mile south of the Canfield Fairgrounds. Everyone is welcome to take friends. WRARC will preside, and the program topics are demonstration of emergency communications, antenna building, and how much fun it is to be a ham operator. GUILDS

Youngstown Chapter of the Embroiderers Guild of America will meet Tuesday at the I.O.O.F. Hall in Canfield. The morning meeting will begin at 10 a.m., and the evening meeting will convene at 7:30 p.m. Colin Donohue will preside. The featured project will be Swedish weaving, taught by Jean Chamberlain. POLITICAL CLUBS

Girard Men’s Democrat Club will meet at 7:30 p.m. Thursday at the Parkwood Youth Center.

RELIGIOUS GROUPS

Our Lady of Perpetual Help Altar and Rosary Society will meet at 7 p.m. Tuesday at the church for the rosary followed by the regular meeting at the church hall.

St. Rose Quilting Group will meet at 10 a.m. Wednesday in the parish house.

SERVICE CLUBS

Girard-Liberty Kiwanis will meet at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday at The Golf Dome, 1300 N. State St., Girard.

SINGLES

D.A.R.E., a social group for divorced, widowed or separated people, has planned the following: July 1 at 6:30 p.m., meet in the lobby of Movies 8, Shops at Boardman Park; and July 2 at 7:30 p.m. at Boardman Park to hear the U.S. Army Band. SUPPORT GROUPS

Parents Without Partners, Portage County Chapter, will have its monthly dance from 7:30 to 11:30 p.m. July 2 at the Kent VFW Post 3703, 5000 VFW Parkway, off Stow Road, in Kent. The admission is $6 for members and $8 for nonmembers.

TOPS 327 will meet Monday at Christ Church Presbyterian, 1933 Canfield Road, Boardman. Weigh-in is from 6:15 to 6:45 p.m. followed by the meeting at 7. The first meeting is free. Guests are welcome. For information call 330-799-9660 or 330-779-0144.

TOPS 1262, McDonald, meets Wednesdays in the senior citizens room at the post office building. Weigh-in is from 8:30 to 9:30 a.m., and the meeting will follow. New members are welcome.

UPMC Horizon has scheduled a meeting of the Ostomy Support Group at 1 p.m. Sunday at the Greenville, Pa., campus.
