‘Jackass’ cast member is killed

PHILADELPHIA

“Jackass” cast member Ryan Dunn died early Monday of injuries suffered in a fiery car crash, and speed may have been a factor, police said.

Dunn and a passenger in his 2007 Porsche died after the car left the roadway and burst into flames, West Goshen Township police said.

The crash occurred near the Philadelphia suburb of West Chester.

The 34-year-old Dunn appeared on MTV shows “Jackass” and “Viva La Bam” and the three “Jackass” big-screen adaptations.

He also was the star of his own MTV show, “Homewrecker,” and hosted “Proving Ground” on the G4 cable network.

‘Toy Story’ returns in cartoon short

LOS ANGELES

Woody the cowboy, Buzz Lightyear and their “Toy Story” pals are back on the big screen in a new adventure.

The voices of Tom Hanks, Tim Allen, Michael Keaton, Joan Cusack and other stars are featured in a “Toy Story” short film that runs before the Pixar Animation sequel “Cars 2,” which debuts in U.S. theaters Friday.

“Toy Story: Hawaiian Vacation” has Hanks’ Woody, Allen’s Buzz and the other toys coming up with a scheme to give doll sweethearts Ken and Barbie (Keaton and Jodi Benson) the trip of their dreams.

After lending his voice to the franchise’s three blockbuster feature-length films, Hanks says he’ll keep coming back to do the voice of Woody whenever Pixar wants to do more with the “Toy Story” characters.
